I'm still working to process everything that's happened. And it's late. And I'm getting tired. So a story.
I don't have a big history with rides. I don't go to theme parks much and the rides at fairs aren't the same. As a result, a lot of what I'm experiencing is completely new to me. It's fun but my first time in is more complicated. Certain things I can kinda take and other stuff scares the tar outta me. Like Space Mountain. Excellent build up and the roller-coaster is in a mostly dark room and it kinda builds on itself. Barely seeing myself fly through the tracks I'd already been on was unnerving.
The Mummy ride at Universal was similar. After the first time I rode it, I wasn't sure I liked it. I rode it again today and enjoyed it much more because I had some idea what was going to happen. I knew there'd be yelling, and some fire, and a backwards drop before rotating and twisting. So much twisting. In the dark. But I'm still in a car at that point, very secured, and that helps me relax a bit. I see the Hulk ride and your feet are loose and you go upside down. I don't like the thought of that much.
